Legacy, Partners in Environmental Education, will host its Annual EnviroBowl Competition with five regional competitions and a statewide final.
EnviroBowl is a double-elimination, question and answer competition played between two high school teams consisting of four students each. EnviroBowl allows high school students from around the state to exercise their knowledge of the environment. Many of the topics covered throughout the competition include: air, chemistry, ecology, forestry, geology, physics, pollution, water, and wildlife. Students compete as teams to determine which school has mastered the most environmental information.
This year Legacy will host five regional competitions held in Dothan, Florence, Montgomery, Jacksonville, and Tuscaloosa during January 2015. The state final competition will be announced soon. Volunteers are needed to be judges, time keepers, moderators, and score keepers.
