
Kraig Mize was raised in Wedowee, Alabama, where he developed a strong work ethic and deep appreciation for community service. He graduated from Randolph County High School and relocated to Calhoun County in 2008 to pursue greater professional opportunities.
Kraig began his career at Honda Manufacturing, where he developed discipline, teamwork skills, and a commitment to high standards. In 2021, he was hired by the Calhoun County Commissioners to provide armed security for the County Administration Building, a position requiring professionalism, responsibility, and integrity. In 2023, he was promoted to Environmental Programs Manager and Enforcement Officer for Calhoun County. In this role, he works to protect public health and uphold State environmental public nuisance laws, serving the citizens of his community through environmental stewardship and regulatory enforcement.
In addition to his professional responsibilities, Kraig is committed to volunteerism and community leadership. He believes strong communities are built by individuals who lead by example, serve others, and take accountability for making a positive difference.
In his free time, Kraig enjoys exploring and spending time outdoors.
