Board Member

Tracey Carter is an education specialist at Alabama Public Television, where she enjoys integrating media and technology into classroom learning. She has a diverse background as a middle school teacher, gifted education specialist, and TV news producer. She is passionate about connecting environmental studies to diverse media and academic subjects.

Tracey holds a BA in Mass Communications and a master’s degree in education from the University of Montevallo. She also has certifications in gifted education from the University of Alabama and instructional leadership from the University of West Alabama.

Tracey loves exploring the outdoors, whether hiking or trail running. She lives in Shelby County with her husband, two sons, and two dogs.
